View/Sign Guest Book -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruno Budzbanowski Bruno Budzbanowski passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at 1:15 a.m. at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville.He was born in Stevens Point, Wis., April 2, 1923, to Frank and Helen Budzbanowski, Polish immigrants.He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine; and daughter, Helen Watkins.He is survived by his sons, Dennis and Garry of Meadville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.In World War II, Bruno landed at Normandy Beach and fought in the Battle of the Bulge, earning a Bronze Star as a sergeant in the Tank Corps.Bruno loved the outdoors and especially the time he spent with his great friend, Duane Hart.Services will be private at the request of the family.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wesbury Foundation, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.Arrangements are in the care of Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
