Bruce P. Barrett, 54, of 733 Pioneer Road, Franklin, died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his residence from a long-term illness. Born July 30, 1954, in Franklin, he was the son of James C. Barrett and Anna Barrett. Mr. Barrett was employed at Franklin Bronze. He enjoyed driving his Corvette, working on house projects and spending time with his family. Mr. Barrett is survived by one son, Andy Barrett and his fiancee, Amanda; one granddaughter, Breanna Bennett of Franklin; two sisters, Sheila Lester and her husband, Richard, of Eureka, Calif., and Linda Barrett of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and two brothers, Joel Barrett of Mission Viejo, Calif., and John Barrett of San Pedro, Calif. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews from California; two best friends, Kerry and Susan Green of Franklin; and a family friend, Terry Weber, also of Franklin. Mr. Barrett was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no funeral or memorial service at Mr. Barrett's request. Memorial donations may be made to the Kirtland Cancer Foundation, P.O.
