Bruce Leon Brown, 73, of Union City, passed away, Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at home.  He was born on December 29, 1949 in Union City, a son of Carl and Edith (Thomas) Brown. He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers.   In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, gardening.  He spent most of his time tending to his black angus herd and he enjoyed riding his 4-Wheeler to check his cows and the fence. He will be missed by his favorite cat, Brownie. Bruce was fond of any family get togethers.  He always had a smile on his face no matter what he was doing.   He was always nice and caring to anyone he met. Left to cherish his memory is his life long companion, Michele Smiley of Union City and her children, Richard and his wife, Christa Smiley, Jr., of Cambridge Springs, and Shelley Mourer and her husband, Steve, of Titusville; her grandchildren, Kylee, Jared, Richard, III, David, Josh, Ashley, and Danielle and her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Nevaeh of which he called his own.  He is further survived by his sisters, Kathleen Hildum of Union City, Carla Clark of Erie, and Betty Chunderlek and her husband, Frank, of Columbus; his aunt Helen Bidwell of Union City; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Linda Farley. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City. Bruce will be laid to rest at West Union Cemetery, Union City. Memorial donations in Bruce's memory may be made to the Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Dept., 22978 Shreve Ridge Road, Union City, PA 16438.   1. So very sorry to hear this. I grew up on Shreve Ridge and knew his family very well back then. My condolences to the family.

  2. We will sadly miss Bruce we are very glad to know him and sharing memories of him and his family we enjoyed spending time at the farm with him god needed another farmer god be with the family

  4. Prayers for Bruce and family. Grew up with these kids. The girls (his sisters) were good friends in high school. Didn’t get in too much trouble, but ade a lot of memories.

    Bruce was one of the kindest people I know. The world needs more people like Bruce. Many years ago, he was part of our volleyball team that played for quite a few years. We bonded easily and even won a few games.
