Brian L. Walton, 71, of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on September 14, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of William F. Walton and Corinne Henning Walton. He married Charlene J. Lewis on December 9, 1989; she also passed away as a result of the accident.
He was a 1960 graduate of Saegertown HIgh School and received his Bachelor of Science in Theater Arts from Allegheny College.
Brian was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War.
Brian was employed as a truck driver for a number of years and currently was a school bus driver for Hubbard Bus Services.
He was the Volunteer Coordinator for Special Olympics; and enjoyed woodworking, doing handyman work, sailing, motorcylces, and loved playing with his grandson.
Brian is survived by a daughter, Jessica L. Walton-Kenyon and her husband Michael of Meadville; two sons, John P. Walton and Patrick M. Walton of Meadville; a step-son, James A. Turner of Meadville; four grandchildren, Hazel, Heaven, Liam, and Donovan; a sister, Valerie C. Walton of Blooming Valley; a nephew, David P. Walton; and a niece, Melissa S. Walton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Tuesday, September 16th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. A memorial service will follow at 7:00pm with Pastor David Brumagin, Chaplin of Meadville Medical Center, officiating.
Full Military Honors will follow being performed by Huidekoper Post 2006 Color Guard.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Brian's memory to Special Olympics of Crawford, 222 Chestnut Street, Meadville, Pennsylvania 16335.
