Beverly Jean Smyers EVANS CITY - Beverly Jean Smyers, 71, of 795 Callery Road, Evans City, formerly of 14550 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospice House of Wexford.Born in Kellersburg on Sept. 23, 1937, she was a daughter of Harold K. Hetrick Sr. and Florence A. Bain Hetrick. She married Robert M. Smyers on April 10, 1965; he preceded her in death July 2, 1996.She was a graduate of Red Bank Valley High School, class of 1955. She worked for American Viscose, FMC and Avtex Fibers from 1965 to 1985.She was an avid sports fan at all levels, especially for the Pittsburgh Steelers. She loved her Schnauzers (all named Bristol) one through three. She also loved camping and going to the Crawford County Fair and Wal-Mart.She was of the Lutheran faith.Survivors include a brother, Jack Hetrick of Distant; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Anna Hans, Alda Cribs and Leona Thore; and two brothers, Bill Hetrick and Harold Hetrick.Calling hours will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.The funeral and committal service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Brumagin, associate pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church of Conneaut Lake, officiating.Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville
