Betty C. Bradley, 94, of Grove City, formerly of Townville, passed away, Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Grove City Medical Center. She was born September 28, 1917 in Townville, a daughter of Calno Wood and Eva Baker Wood. She married Curtain Lee Bradley he preceded her in death August 18, 1967.
Betty was a graduate of Townville High School and follow graduation attended Cosmology school to become a beautician.
She was Townville's first telephone operator and also worked numerous years as a food service worker for the Maplewood Schools until she retired.
She was a member of Townville Baptist Church
Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, embroidering, playing cards, and bingo.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis C. Bradley and his wife Frances of Jackson Center, Pennsylvania, and William B. Bradley and his companion Avis of Hydetown, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Kozlowski of Carrolton, Texas.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jon Keith Bradley; and a sister, Bernice Wood.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 11th from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, 33353 N. Main Street, Townville. A memorial service will be held following at 3:00pm with Pastor Glen Van Cise of Chapmanville Community Church, officiating.
Burial will take place in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
