Born in: Oil City, Pennsylvania

Belinda “Cass” Thomas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend left this earth on July 21, 2023 at the young age of 60. Cass was born to the late Robert “Bob” Chrispen and Sandra “Sandy” (Patterson) Chrispen on February 26, 1963, as one of ten children. She was married to Danny Thomas, who survives, in August 1999. Together they shared a love for wildlife, feeding the local birds and squirrels, as they tended to their flowers. Cass was a loving mother to Amanda Kurschinske and her husband, Nathan, and a devoted grandmother to Noah and Ella Kurschinske, as she relished in their every accomplishment. Cass was survived by her family: Rex (Karen) Chrispen, of Oil City, PA, Ginger (Joe) McFadden, of Rouseville, PA, Penny (Terry) Kaminske, of Oil City, PA, Cindy Barr, of Eagle Rock, PA, Donald Chrispen and Daniel Chrispen, both of Oil City, PA, along with many nieces, nephews and aunts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John Chrispen, Douglas Chrispen and Robert Chrispen, Jr. Cass will be remembered for her time at the Ven-Bar, where she worked for over 30 years. She loved to cook for others and has been known to mix a drink or open a beer for many friends over the years. Cass was a wonderful woman, full of kindness, and her impact will be forever felt by her family and friends, that loved her dearly. She had the personality and infectious laugh that would light up any room. She was a selfless woman whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her family. Her ability to sacrifice, support, forgive and love will be forever engrained in all she knew. Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. A remembrance picnic will be held for friends and family late in August, and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, Pennsylvania 16323. Please take a moment to share a memory or condolence with the family on Cass's Book of Memories at www.WarrenFH.com.
