Barry L. Johns

Barry L. Johns, 75, of Centerville, passed away, Monday, July 29, 2024 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on October 9, 1948 in Port Washington, Ohio, a son of Edward Curtis Johns and Mary Irons Johns. He married Dianna L. Magee on December 23, 1995. He was a graduate of Port Washington High School, attended engineering trade school in Cleveland for drafting, and served his country with the U.S. Marines. Barry was employed at Titusville Hospital in the maintenance department. In his spare time he enjoyed racing and building go-karts, drag racing, and hunting when he was younger. Barry is survived by his loving wife, Dianna Johns of Centerville; six children, Ryan Johns and his wife Missy of Cadiz, Ohio, Luke Johns of Lake Lila, Ohio, David Johns and his wife Mildred of Mexico, New York, Marsha Holcomb Smith and her husband Cliff of Spartanburg, Robert Holcomb and his wife Michelle of Sherburne, New York, and Jennifer Holcomb of Centerville; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Elaine Rieger of Dover, Ohio; two sister in laws, Anne Johns of Colleyville, Texas and Renee Anderson of New Berlin, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Heather Johns; mother in law, JoAnne Weidner; father in law, Lyle Magee; brothers, Kurt and Thomas Johns; a brother in law, John Rieger; grandson, Jordan Tucker; and a nephew, Cary Johns.
