Arthur Ray Brown, 77, of Conneaut Lake, passed away, Sunday, October 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born on August 27, 1937 a son of Oscar A. Brown and Ruth L. Bidwell. He married Janet Deeter on February 15, 1986.
Arthur graduated high school in 1955 and served his country with the United States Army from 1954 to 1960.
He retired from Windstream Telephone working as a mechanic in 1999.
Arthur was a life member of VFW Post 2006; and enjoyed playing guitar, camping, traveling to Florida for the winter for 10 years, rolling skating, dancing, and watching Nascar.
Art was always there to lend a helping hand when friends, family and neighbors needed him.
In addition to his loving wife, Janet, he is survived by two daughters, Kim Miller of Saegertown and Debra Gross of Illinois; a son Richard Brown of Arkansas; grandchildren, Sharlyn Daughenbaugh, Dan and Dean Miller, and Nicholas, Allison, and Matthew Gross; great grandchildren, Devan and Carletta Daughenbaugh and Bailey and Hailey Miller; two step-children, Tammy Price, and her husband Mitch of Cresson, PA; and Tim Ellis, and his wife Kristen of Baltimore, Maryland; 4 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Lamde and her husband Ken; Marth Chrzanowski; and Charlotte Beck; and brothers-in-law, Fred Leonard, and Jack Leonard.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arthur's arrangements are in the care of Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
When I was 18, Art provided a great deal of guidance that was very meaningful for me. I lived with him for 18 months in Elyria, Ohio. He got me a job at Ford Motor Co and we spent a lot of time together. I think of him often.
