Anthony Perricone
Anthony Perricone, 88, of 11135 Shaw Ave., Meadville, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born on June 8, 1921, at Meadville, a son of the late Vito and Josephine Belfiore Perricone. He married Margaret Badagliacca on Feb. 23, 1946. She preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 2008.
He had been employed at Channellock Inc. for 24 years, then retired from Abex. He had also been employed at one time at Kmart.
He was a member of St. Agatha Church, Meadville, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Meadville Elks Club and the Italian Civic Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville.
He loved going to the YMCA.
Surviving are two sons, Anthony Perricone and his wife, Kathy, of Forsyth, Ill., and Donald Perricone and his wife, Jill, of Fresno, Calif.; six grandchildren, Kim Schurk and her husband, Greg, of Burlington, Iowa, and James Perricone and his wife, Gloria, of San Antonio, Texas, Amanda Fabio and her husband Shawn of Pittsburgh, Ryan Perricone, Alexa Perricone and Jenna Perricone, all of Fresno, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Schurk and Makenzie Schurk, Madison Perricone, Chloe Fabio and Brody Fabio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vito Perricone and Tom Perricone.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 1 until 3 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with Father Raymond Gramata officiating.
Burial, with full military honors conducted by VFW Post 2006, will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Meadville Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit and all of the doctors for their compassionate care given to Anthony. They also want to give special thanks to family and friends at the Meadville YMCA.
