Anna G. Ritchey, 77, of Orchard Park Trailer Park in Franklin, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2015 at 6:50 pm, following a courageous battle with cancer.Born on July 16, 1938 in Cranberry Township, Anna was the third child and eldest daughter of the late Wayne George and Beulah Cecelia Baker Willyoung. She attended schools in Sandycreek Township and Franklin High School before marrying Merle B. "Red" Ritchey, who survives, on November 28, 1957 at the Congress Hill Church of God.Anna was most happy being a mother and homemaker, although she spent many years working outside the home, as a waitress, retail clerk, and delivering newspapers; in addition to helping her husband run a trucking company for many years. She was a member of the former Maple Dale Free Methodist Church and became a member of the Franklin Free Methodist Church when the churches combined. Forever mindful of her rural roots, she amassed a huge collection of all things chicken. In addition, she raised chickens until her health no longer permitted. She was also an avid reader.Anna was a devoted and very proud mother of her seven sons: Merle B. Jr., and his wife, Peggy, of Oil City; William B. of Seneca; Jeffrey B., and his wife, Vicki, of Seneca; Rick A., and his wife, Michelle, of Venus; Clarence Lee, and his wife, Christine, of Franklin; Randall W., and his wife, Lynn, of Franklin; and Ronald E. of Franklin. She was a loving grandmother to nine grandsons, four granddaughters, two step-grandsons, one step-granddaughter, and numerous great-grandchildren.She is further survived by four brothers and three sisters: George Willyoung, and his wife, Ruth of Franklin; Ralph Willyoung of Franklin; Larry Willyoung of Franklin; Samuel Willyoung, and his wife, Connie, of Cooperstown; Peg Baker of Franklin; Carol Shoup, and her husband, Fred, of Franklin; and Debra Adams, and her husband, Dennis, of Polk.In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her two brothers; Ronald W. Willyoung in 1992, and Lawrence E. "Baldy" Willyoung in 2012.Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street in Franklin, on Wednesday, November 25th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 5:30pm, with Pastor David Cope, pastor of the Canal Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be held at Morrison Cemetery.The family suggests that memorial donations be made to VNA Foundation, 491 Allegheny Blvd, Franklin, PA 16323. I remember you had told me once that I was the daughter you never had and I have never forgotten that, I was a part of your family for a lot of years, you said even thought me and Toad were not together anymore that I would always be your daughter in law and part of the family and I thank you for that. I will miss talking to you and visiting Shaylee already misses you and always will. Love and miss you Cathy
