Aletha A. Cauvel, 59, of 504 Rocky Grove Avenue , Franklin, passed away in her sleep on Thursday ,September 19, 2013. Born November 20, 1953 in Franklin, PA, Aletha was the daughter of the late William and Katie (Connell) Cauvel. Aletha was employed as a cook for several local restaurants, and also was the former owner of Cauvels Diner and T C Cafe. She was a vendor at the local Curb Market and a part of the Sugar Sisters. Aletha was taking classes in Business Administration at Colorado Tech University. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Franklin. Aletha was an avid Lucy collector who enjoyed baking, and spending time with her cat Blacka and several other pets. She will be missed by all of her family. Aletha is survived by her daughters, Catherine Dolan of Cooperstown, and Joann Cochenour of Franklin; her brother, Jeffrey Duke Cauvel of Franklin; her sisters, Sharyn Rinker and her husband, Daniel, and Robin Keener and her husband, Ike, both of Franklin; her grandchildren, Summer Cochenour, Tammy Cochenour, and Joni Tomlinson all of Franklin; and her life partner Brad Wright of Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother and sister; her sister, Rosalie McDermott; and her niece Pam McDermott. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin, PA 16323, to help with the cost of funeral expenses .   1. Brad, Thinking of you & your family at this unexpected loss of T.C. You two were together a long time,& have weathered not only her illnesses,but yours also. One of her greatest assets was her wonderful cooking abilities,which you were very proud of, & I along with your many co-workers had the pleasure of sampling. May God give you the strength to guide you to find some peace on his decision to take her home.   7. I worked with Tess at Rams Head many years ago. I would see her at the farmers market or out shopping and she never changed. She was a wonderful person and I will always remember her. I am so sorry for your loss and will send prayers your way that her memory will keep you and your family strong.
