James L. Cosilla, 92, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on September 28, 1933, in Erie, he was the son of James A. and Pearl Larson Cosilla.
James was married to Randi Hiorth-Hansen, who sadly preceded him in death. He dedicated much of his life to education, earning a Master’s Degree in Education and teaching for many years in the Union City School District. His love for teaching and the impact he had on his students will be remembered fondly by many.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kelly (Bob) Ramsey, who will carry on his legacy of love and learning.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on May 1, 2026, at 1:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to join together to celebrate James’s life and share in their fond memories.
James will be missed dearly, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
