William and Sharon Barteldt

William “Bill” Edgar Barteldt, age 68, passed away on March 5th, 2026 at Hamot Hospital, Erie, PA. Bill was born in Rochester, NY to the late Donald and Joyce Barteldt. He lived his life in the Union City and Waterford areas.

Bill graduated from the UCHS in 1975 where he was active in band and track. He was proud of his community service as an active member of the UC Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Service.

Bill worked as a retail buyer at the Ben Franklin store in UC for 5 years and then became a financial consultant for Prudential Insurance Co.

Sharon (Holdsworth) Barteldt, age 71, passed away on March 6th, 2026 at Edinboro Manor, Edinboro, PA. Born in Erie, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles and Donna Holdsworth.

Sharon was a licensed cosmetologist but spent most of her career in banking.

She was truly a sweet person and kind with a strong faith in God.

Bill and Sharon are survived by their children, Jason Barteldt and Rechelle (Michael) Kennedy and Brandon (Shannon) Kuhn of Wooster, OH as well as grandchildren Brandon, Ryan, Jaylee, Kenzie, Alyssa and Kamryn.

Bill is further survived by his brother, Dr. Richard (Barbara) Barteldt of London, OH and Sharon is further survived by her brother Keith Holdsworth of Fairview, NC and her life-long friend, Pattie Sitter of Erie, PA.

No public services will be held and arrangements are in the care of the Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City, PA 16438.

Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Union City.
