Any and I would like to offer our deepest sympathies to the Blakeslee Family. Claire will be deeply missed, he serves this Department with Honor and Distinction throughout his Legion Career. P D C Michael D Murphy.
Clare was an excellent example of a true Patriot. He loved his Country with no reservations. He had the most upward respect for Servicemen and all Veterans. I had the pleasure to serve with Clare on the Erie-Crawford Veterans Burial Detail for over 15 years. I respected him for his values, educational skills and intelligence. Sympathy to his family on their loss.

Shocked beyond belief! Clare was a good friend, one of the best, who I worked with in our American Legion for over 20 years, before family considerations demanded that we move to Ohio! Clare was the kind of friend you could count on and he could be, and often was, fierce in his loyalty to those he considered to be his friends. I spent many hours on the road, at meetings, and conventions with him. Like I said, he was a good friend, and more importantly, he was a good man!
I love you dad.i miss you so much.i thank you for everything you instilled in me and taking me into your life. You accomplished so much I can only hope to accomplish as much.you are a dedicated Veteran with morals and values,a dedicated father and husband whom gives respect where warranted.,kind, caring, and most of all my HERO. LOVE INFINITY until we meet again
Your son Michael
