Lois A Price

Lois A. Price of Meadville joined her husband Bud, who passed away January 3, 2016 at home with Lois at his side, into eternal rest in heaven on February 26th, 2023.
She was born November 6, 1928 to the late George H. and Vivian Deshner Sr.
Lois married the love of her life, the boy next door, Lawrence “Bud” Price, on April 28, 1950 and shared 66 years with him.
She graduated from Meadville High School class of 1946 and the former “Meadville City Hospital” School of Nursing class of 1949 and worked there as an R.N. for 22 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She also organized and headed blood pressure screenings at the Medicine Shoppe on State Street for an additional 22 years.
Lois was of the Protestant faith, having been a past Sunday School and Bible School teacher at the United Protestant Church of the Redeemer, a Meadville City Hospital Alumni member, a life member of V.F.W. Post 2006, and the V.F.W. ladies auxiliary.
She was a very devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. One of the greatest joys of her life was helping raise her granddaughter, Amy, and her grandson, Austin.
Lois loved reading, doing crosswords and crypto quotes, decorating for the holidays (especially Christmas), and watching Penguins games with her grandson, Austin. She left many albums of family pictures for her children.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti Price; her sons Lawrence L. Price and his wife, Pat, and Mark Price and his wife, Janice; her granddaughter, Amy Snow, her grandsons, Austin Lawrence Price and his wife, Jessy, Grady and Gage Price; her great granddaughters Piper Ailene Snow, Ruby June Snow, and Sadie Price; her nieces, Marlene Hart, Brenda Greene, who always sent her cards on her birthday and holidays; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Bud, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Elizabeth Barlow Sharpe, Laurieta Hart and her husband, Marlin, and Rebie S. Deshner; her brother, George H. Deshner Jr. and his wife, Betty; her nephew, Richard Hart; and her favorite niece, Lois Troples.
There will be no public services. Lois and Bud’s ashes will be privately scattered together by their children in a place where they were instructed to take them.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
Memorial contributions can be made in Lois' name to the Crawford County Veteran's Clinic, 16954 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
