Donald R. Edwards

Donald R. Edwards, 88, of Corry, passed away, on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Corry Memorial Hospital. He was born in Union Township on December 3, 1933, a son of Thomas O. Edwards and Cecilia Johnson Edwards. He married Grace M. Fenno on August 22, 1964. She survives. He was a 1952 graduate of Union City High School, then he was drafted into the United States Army where he served as a radio operator. Later, he was employed as a body mechanic for many years at several body shops in Corry, Erie, and Columbus. Donald was a formal member of the Moose Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing softball. If he was not playing a sport, you would find him watching one on TV. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Daniel R. Edwards of Corry and Dennis R. Edwards of Corry; and a grandson, David Allen Edwards of Spartansburg. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lulu Mitchell, Louise Culver, and Lucille Blakeslee; and four brothers, Clifford, Gerald, Leonard, and John Edwards. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 11:00am at Lawn Cemetery of Beaverdam, Route 89, Corry.
