William R. Coe

William "Bill" R. Coe, Sr., 94, of Union City, passed away, Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Corry Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 12, 1929 in Union City, a son of William H. Coe and Charlotte Platt Coe. He married Helen Lindsley on August 27, 1949. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2018. He was a graduate of Union City High School and was employed with the Dairyman's League and with Union City Chair Company where he was a shipping supervisor until his retirement. Bill was a member of Union City Global United Methodist Church and in his spare time he enjoyed working outdoors caring for his home and property. He is survived by his children, William R. Coe, Jr. (Karen) of Union City, Connie Bumgarner (James) of Monroe, North Carolina, Cynthia Shaw (Scott) of Riverton, Wyoming, and Martin Coe (Shawnna) of Lake City; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. In addition to his wife, Helen; he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Frederick Coe; and a sister, Betty Hummel. Private services will be held at a later date.
