We are so incredibly sorry to hear you lost Butch. He was such a generous and giving man and mentor for so many young men including my son, Addison Shull. My husband and son have so many wonderful memories with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Butch (and his recently deceased brother Slip) are in so many of my childhood’s fond memories. Whenever I think of playing around the barn as a child at the Genis farm I think of them both. They taught me a lot of stuff around the farm and they were great childhood friends.
It was nice to see Butch’s photo on the Warren Funeral website and read about him. I still recognize his face though I haven’t seen it now for more than 35 years.
My condolences go out to Ruth. I think Butch was a really great guy.

To the family
Sending our sincere condolences to you all. Butch was such a great guy as we would always see him on the golf course or at football games. Cherish the memories.
So sorry for your loss. Butch was a great man. He was kindhearted and funny, always had a story to tell. He will be missed by many. Sending love to you all.
My condolences to Ruth and the Genis family in this time of grief. I look back with fond memories of Butch and my other “country cousins” in the extended family. Butch was a generous soul who shared a lot of experiences of life with his younger cousin from the New York City suburbs during our annual visits to the farm. Butch had a great sense of humor, such as when he taught me how to milk a cow, which included a shot of milk in the eye. I have a lot of precious childhood memories of playing in the barn and helping to work on the farm and dairy bar. May God strengthen Ruth and all the family as we remember and give thanks for Butch.
