Ruth A. Fisher Ruth A. Fisher, 65, of 743 Maple St., Meadville, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at her residence.Born in Meadville on Feb. 3, 1944, she was a daughter of Charles F. and Jane Johns Damico. On Aug. 5, 1967, she married Charles W. Fisher.She graduated from Villa Maria College in 1966 with a teaching degree.She was a school teacher for many years, and she worked beside her husband in their business, Damico Vending.She was active in Girl Scouts of America.She was a member of St. Agatha Church.Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Fisher; one son, Ken Fisher and his wife, Kim, of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Deb Knecht and her husband, Mark, of Mechanicsburg; one sister, Kathy Davis and her husband, Larry, of Joplin, Mo.; one brother, Charles Damico and his wife, Mona, of Hastings, Neb.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will be private at the convenience of the family.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Agatha Church, with Father Raymond Gramata of the church as celebrant.Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.Arrangements are under the direction of Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
