Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Rest in peace, brother. I am glad our paths crossed in this life and that we enjoyed some quality time over the last 10 years. Thank you for your service to your country – and thank you for inviting me into your life. May your memory be eternal!

    Rich Anton

  2. Bill Grossman was my Crazy Cousin. We met up every Memorial Day for a fun weekend of Pow Wow Dancing. My daughter Annaliese Ogden loved Bill so much. If was a blast to connect with him at our Mauk family reunion and go over our family tree. He was very proud of his native heritage and to be a Veteran. He was honored to dance at Pow Wows. Annaliese is so sad to lose Bill. She had given him a special painted eagle feather. She would giggle every year he would tell her the same story of his wooden eagle breast plate that he wore with his native regalia. He was very connected to Annaliese, not only because she danced with him, but he said she was special for being born on Veteran’s Day. He had such a pure infectious laugh that made you enjoy his stories. He loved talking about fishing for Perch and how the eagles would always sore above him. On Wednesday, Annaliese and I were driving home in Conneaut Lake, all of a sudden an eagle swooped down in plain sight in front of us and landed in a bare tree beside us… At that time, I did not know my dear cousin had past… but I am positive that eagle was letting me know he had taken Bill to our creator. I remember when Bill was telling me about how many branches of the military he had served in, I had first thought, “no way… He’s stretching it” but then when he was showing me everything on his regalia… I was awe struck! What an honor to call him my family. What an honor to have him serve more than his share for our freedom. He is a true warrior with the noble heart of an eagle… Cousin Bill… I will burn sage in your honor and Annaliese will dance in your honor… We love you and your spirit will always be with us… Love Suetta Hoffman & Annaliese Ogden
