Wayne P. Sipes, Sr., 84, of Union City, passed away, Monday, February 20, 2023, peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side. He was a son of the late Donald and Theresa Sipes. He married his wife, Connie Sipes on February 23rd 1974. Wayne enjoyed playing his guitar and working on his tractors. He also enjoyed going to the casino, drinking an ice cold beer, and being with his family. He worked for Pol's where he was known as "Papa Wayne". He also owned and operated his own dump trucks. In addition to his wife, Connie, he is survived by his children, Tammy (Pat) Maynard and Kellie Sipes; twelve grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph, Vanessa (Paul), Amanda (Shawn), Morgan (Aaron), William "T-Man", Macon, Kristina, Melanie (Ben), Donald, and Gabrielle; twenty-three great-grandchildren, Justine, Haidan, Trevin, George, Zack, Lilly, Katrina, Maddison, Johnathan, Raychell, Harmony, Bentlee, Ethan, Gavin, Grayson, Symphany, Nevaeh, Layla, David, Oaklynn, Kensley, Nolan, and Karson; his best friend, Frank Serviaio; siblings, Edward Sipes, and Judy (Ben) Salinas; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Eldon, Douglas, James, and Anna Mary; his children, Wayne, Jr., Kim, and Sherry; a grandson, David Merritt, and a great-grandson, Weston Marthers. There will be no services held at this time, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Wayne's memory to Family Hospice of Erie, 1700 Peach Street #244, Erie, Pennsylvania 16501.
