Wayne Lambert

Wayne L. Lambert, 82, of Grove City, passed away at 7:12 pm. on Wednesday, November 16th at Trinity Living Center in Grove City.Born on March 31, 1934 in Joliet, Illinois, Wayne was the son of the late Fred and Pearl Bastrode Lambert. He was a graduate of Naperville Central High School and Northern Illinois University.Wayne was a US Marine Veteran, having served from 1953 until 1956. While serving with the US Marine Corps, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.He retired in 1994 with 29 years of service with the State of Illinois, Department of Mental Health and DD, where he held various administrative positions.Wayne is survived by his two sons, Kyle Lambert and his wife, Cheryl, of Grove City, and Greg Lambert and his wife, Jan, of Atoka, TN; and his daughter, Jill Lambert of Las Vegas, NV.He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Brandon and Payton Lambert of Grove City, Jasmine Walker and Jordan Lockett, both of Las Vegas, NV, and Cameron, Austin and Evelyn Lambert of Atoka, TN; his two great-grandchildren, Damien and Lillian; and his sister, Beverly Oling of Naperville, Illinois.Wayne is additionally survived by numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and his special friends, JoAnn and Justin Hiatt.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Abigail Lambert.As per Mr. Lambert's wishes, there will be no visitation.
