Wanda M. Anderson

Wanda M. Anderson, 94, of Franklin, passed away on January 10, 2019 at The Caring Place.Born on April 9th, 1924 in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Frank Burton and Adah (Heffernan) Sutley.Wanda was a proud graduate of Rocky Grove High School.On April 9, 1924, Wanda married the love of her life, Harry A. Anderson. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1989.Wanda retired in 1982 after 38 years as a meat-cutter at the Great A + P Tea Company.She was a member of the Grace United Methodist, where she was a lifetime member and helped with funeral dinners. She was also a member of the Grace United Methodist Women's Missionary Society. Wanda was also a proud member of the American Legion's Ladies Auxiliary. She faithfully attended Thai-Chi classes and taught some classes under Cootie Harris. She also enjoyed her card club for years.Wanda was a caring, generous, and compassionate soul, and loved to spend her time giving back to others. She volunteered 3 times a week at the Caring Place and loved to visit people, where she would brightened their day with her kindness and sense of humor. She was also a lover of all animals, including birds and so on.Left to cherish her memory is her sister-in-law, Wilma Sutley of Cochranton; her special niece, Marilyn Brinker; her special friend, helper, and family of over 50 years, Dixie McEntire; and many more nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, she is preceded in death by her infant sister, Beverly Clare Sutley; her sisters, Dora Banister, Genevieve Weaver, Freda Weaver, Marguerite Mott and Martha Wice; her brother, James B.
