Steven J. Joiner

Steven J. Joiner, 66, of Guys Mills, passed away, Sunday, March 19, 2023 in Ellwood City at his daughter's residence after a brief illness. He was born on February 11, 1958 in Meadville, a son of John O.E. Joiner and Jo Ann Gable Joiner. He was a 1977 graduate of Maplewood High School and served his country with the United States Navy. Steven was employed with Stake Center as a utility line locator, and previously was a security guard at Meadville Medical Center -ER, and was employed at Conneaut Lake Park in the 1980's. He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, poker runs, going to theme parks, eating (especially steaks), but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by three daughters, Teresa L. Joiner of Greenville, Stephanie L. Joiner of Johnstown, and Cayla M. Francis and her husband David of Ellwood City; grandchildren, Lindsey Winner, Jesse Winner, Haydin Meteney, Ava Francis, Caeleigh Francis, Dawson Hock, P.J. Hock, Wyatt Hock, and Addison Stephey; two brothers, Dennis J. Joiner of Mt. Pleasant and Scott A. Joiner of Meadville; and an uncle, Earl Joiner of Meadville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, March 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24th at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Nate Alsdorf, officiating. Burial and full military honors will take place at Kiser Hill Cemetery.
