Stephen J. Kozek, 66 of Guys Mills, passed away, Thursday, February 27, 2020, at UPMC Hamot. He was born May 1, 1953, to Joanna Davano and Samuel Harakel and 12 days later was given the gift of adoption by his parents, John and Lois Chapman Kozek. He married Betty Henry on November 15, 2003, she survives. Stephen fought a courageous battle with cancer for seven years. Stephen was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, he loved the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins. he enjoyed yard work, camping, cooking and making pasta. He worked with Outside Sales, Anderson Coach and travels and WL Dunn. In addition to his beloved wife, Betty, survivors include his daughter Crystal Kozek of Franklin, step son, Denzel Henry and his wife Lisa of Blooming Valley; grandchildren, Alex Williams, Cole Perrine, Chase Jarzenski, Mia Kozek and Tyler and Ashtin Henry, also a great granddaughter, Aubree, the mother of his children Debbie Kozek, two sisters, Maria Morissette and her husband Scott of FL; and Denise Hoosier and her husband David of VA; his half brother Charles New and his wife Lori of Greenville and brother-in-law Kenny Henry of Meadville also many nieces and nephews. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Brian Kozek in 2017. Family and Friends are invited to call the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335 on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 4:00 pm with Pastor Dave Coddington officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd, Meadville, PA 16335. Betty and her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Brown and Molly, Sue, Dawnmel, Stephanie and the entire staff of the Yolanda G. Barco Institute.
