Ruth I. Sherman, 88, of 1212 Chestnut Street ,died ,September 07, 2013 at UPMC-Northwest Seneca. Born May 17, 1925 in Titusville, PA, Ruth was the daughter of the late Clarence and Candice (Brown) Lauer. Ruth was employed as a Supervisor for K-Mart. She enjoyed puzzles. Ruth is survived by her son Gary Sherman of Emlenton; her daughters, Carol Jean Hartment and Candice Sherman both of Buffalo; and her sisters Betty Lou Tobin and Gloria J. Donnelly of Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents. Private services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Rynd Farm Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin. My sympathies to all the family. Ruth and I became acquainted through our church visitation team. We had a nice chat on Friday when I stopped to visit with her. And through our conversations, I know that she loved the scriptures and her Lord.
We are so very sorry to learn of Ruthie’s passing. She was always quick with a smile and joke. We will all miss seeing her out and about and will keep a prayer going that her family will find comfort in the days ahead.
