My sincere condolences to the entire family of Bob Artman. I worked with his wife Nancy and I must say between the two of them that they have given me some of the best days of my life with all the laughter, joking and the many work parties that we attended. Bob always had the smirk on him that you were afraid what he was going to say as you always ended up laughing till your sides ache. He is now with his beautiful wife, who was my mentor that showed me my work ethics !! She was the best. So Bob,as you enter Heaven give Nancy a hug for all of us. I know only your daughter Heather who turned out to be one special, loving and giving individual. My your Rest in Peace my man. Love, Shirley (Costa )and Bryan Callan
We will miss Bob greatly. We moved into the house next door to him five years ago. First week we were here he drove over on his lawn mower, and continued that tradition every time he saw us outside. Rest In Peace.
Oh Heather I’m so sorry! My heart goes out to you and your family! Your dad was one of kind, that’s for sure. I have many memories from the Crawford County Fair of our families. The one memory that sticks out the most is the year Garth Brooks was there and your dad had the same shirt as he did and a few of them ended up on the roof of the 4H food booth after the concert! I am sure he was welcomed in heaven by my dad with a shot and beer in one hand and a horse in the other. Big hugs to you! love ya girlie… Vicki (Phillips) Vargo and Gus
Dear Heather, Where did all those years go but thankfully so many great memories were created; enjoyed the picture show. What a handsome, fun loving man. Your mom and dad were good people and both have a very special place in the hearts of each of the Parker family members. Always showed us so much kindness and enjoyment being around them. Very sorry for your loss. Charles Parker family
My name is Brenda Rogers, I work up at my families business on Route 77. I’m really going to miss Bob coming through the door. He always walked in with a don’t mess with me look and a mischievous smile. I don’t think he knew my name because whenever I would say hi he would always say… Hello Hippy. I still don’t know why he called me that but it didn’t bother me. And another thing he said a lot was…. Yeah Right. I just want to let the family know how sorry I am for their loss. I know I will surely miss him.
Our memory of Bob goes back to 1977.It was a really bad winter that year and we were snowed in for a whole month, only able to get our car off the road { Rt 77 } we had a long driveway. When it finally quite snowing, Bob used the Richmond Township high lift on a Sunday afternoon and came down and cleaned our driveway out leaving a pile higher than our garage! Needless to say our 3 young kids had fun playing on that hill of snow for several weeks! I tried to pay Bob that day , but he would not take anything for that big job. Every time I saw him { witch was only every 5 or 6 years } I would tell him how much we appreciated his kindness that day. He was a great neighbor who was there when we needed him! We are sorry we didn’t make the visiting hours.
