Robert L. Miller

Robert L. Miller, Sr. 81 of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, April 29 peacefully in his sleep at home. He was born on July 26, 1932, son of the late Roy Miller and Mary Sisson Miller. Robert was retired from Conrail in 1993 with 41 years service. Prior to the railroad Robert sailed the Great Lakes as a seaman on the ore boats. He enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing. Robert played the violin and in his younger years played in a country dance band. He was a life member of Vernon Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Elks, VFW and Conneaut Lake Sportsman Club. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Judith Miller; a sister Jean Allds, son Robert L. Miller Jr. of Conneaut Lake; daughters Michelle and Melissa of Virginia and Joni of Guys Mills. Also six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
