Richard Lee Hayden, 81, of Townville, Pennsylvania, left us peacefully on May 20, 2025. Born on October 25, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the cherished son of William and Ruth Hayden.
Richard was a proud graduate of Townville High School, Class of ’62. He went on to earn a certification in Metallurgy from Penn State University, which kicked off his impressive 41-year career in the foundry sector, finishing his journey as the Plant Manager at Franklin Bronze.
Richard found joy in the simple things-hunting, fishing, and taking long walks in the woods. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and had a knack for innovation, having built his own windmill and even developed a patent related to alloy metals.
Richard is survived by his beloved daughters, Gina Angelo and her husband Mike of Harbor Creek and Rachelle King and her husband, Nathan Davison of Townville, two sons Rick Hayden with wife Gina from Cambridge Springs and a son of Townville. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Julianna, Natasha Wellmon and her husband Alex, Sonia and Chiana Hayden, Nick Angelo, Nathan Angelo and his wife Erin, and Matthew Jones. Richard will be greatly missed by his two sisters, Bev Barickman and Marie Leonhart, and his two brothers, Ron and Tom Hayden, along with their wives.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Bill Hayden, Shirley, an Robert.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, May 24th from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Harry Zurasky officiating at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 N. Main Street, Townville.
Richard will be laid to rest in Townley Cemetery, Cambridge Springs.

Rachelle, I’m sorry sorry for your tremendous loss. Losing your father, your life long idol is devastating. I will always be in his debt for allowing us to meet and have you watch our children when you were only 14! A lifetime of friendship was his gift to our family.
