Richard L. Weed

Richard L. Weed, 67, of Wattsburg, passed away, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, unexpectedly at his residence. He was born on June 8, 1955 in Union City, a son of Herbert Weed and Mary Barrett Weed. He attended Union City Schools and was a past longtime employee of Wattsburg Lumber Company and Skinner Engine. Richard was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, but most of all he loved family picnics and spending time with friends. He is survived by five daughters, Bobbie Jo Huch of New York, Heather Weed and her fiancé Mark Merritt of Meadville, Mary Weed and her fiancé Donald of Wattsburg, Nichole Bensink of Wattsburg, and Elizabeth Weed of Wattsburg; a son, Richard Weed and his wife Ashley of Maine; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two sisters, Janice Craumer of Union City and Roberta Nellis of Mississippi. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a son in law, Matt Bensink; two brothers, Herbert Weed, Jr. and Robert Weed; three sisters, Myrtle Wheeler, Jean Ellen Boardman, and Joyce Adams; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 28th at 2:00 pm at 10778 Jamestown Road, Wattsburg, Pennsylvania 16442.
