Otis H. Barnes, 87, of Tionesta, passed away on Saturday, June 20th at UPMC - Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.Born May 23, 1928 in Aliquippa, Otis was the son of the late George and Ida Dengel Barnes. He married Karen Marie Reib on November 3, 1984 and she preceded him in death on December 18, 2014.Otis was a US Navy Veteran. He worked at Reno Plastics in Quality Control for 10 years and retired from J&L/LTV Steel where he had worked as a General Foreman for more than 30 years. Otis enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a Deputy Game Warden for the Pennsylvania State Game Commission. He also enjoyed woodworking and reading.He is survived by his sons, Richard R. Barnes of Painesville, Ohio, and David M. Barnes of Beaver Falls; his daughter, Kathy J. Ruff and her husband, Thomas, of Aliquippa; and his step-sons, Jeffrey R. Jones of Pittsburgh, and David E. Jones and his wife, Linda, of Lower Burrell.Otis is also survived by grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Thomas Ruff, Jr., Mathew Barnes, Daniel Barnes, Seth Jones, Taylor Jones, Jeffrey Jones, Nicolas Jones, Lauren Jones, Zack Jones and Lindsay Jones.He is also survived by his brother, Raymond C. Barnes of Miami Florida; and his nephew, George W. Barnes and his wife, Mindy, of Aliquippa; and his great-nephew and great-niece, Chris and Emily Barnes, also of Aliquippa.In addition to his parents and wife, Otis was preceded in death by his brother, G. William Barnes.Family and friends of Otis will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Wednesday, June 24th from 3 to 7 p.m.Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 25th at 11 a.m with the Rev. Richard C.
