Milton B. Moyer, 75, of Cooperstown passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the prayers of his family and friends on Tuesday, September 8th at 9:59 pm. Born February 12, 1940 in Erie, Milton was the son of the late Donald and Alice Lang Moyer. On August 3, 1974, Milton married Joyce Walker, who survives.Milton retired in November of 1998 from Joy Manufacturing as welding engineer, after 23 years of service. He was a Peacetime Vet in the United States Navy. He was also a member of the Cooperstown Community Church of God. In his spare time, Milton enjoyed woodworking, fishing, participating in a barbershop quartet, and spending time with his family.In addition to his wife, Milton is survived by his four children: Kim Marie King of Waterford; Kirsten Stewart, and her husband, Ron, of Texas; Kelly Rae Dunkle, and her husband, Tim, of Rocky Grove; and Kirk Brace, and his wife, Melody, of Erie. He is additionally survived by his brother, Leroy Moyer, and his wife, Helen, of Charlottesville, VA; and his thirteen grandchildren: Heather, Justin, Nicolas, Kamron, Skylar, Kaitlyn, Colton, Konnor, Summer, Kaylene, Kirk-Mark, Kyle, and Kelsey; as well as four great-grandchildren.Milton was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Rick Brace. Family and friends will be reached at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Thursday, September 10th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc. in Franklin with Rev. Barry Markle, pastor of the Cooperstown Community Church of God, officiating. Military honors will be presented by the V.E.T.S Honor Guard.
