Meddie Hugh DuBray

Meddie Hugh DuBray, 88, of Centerville, passed away, Saturday, December 14, 2019. He was born on March 8, 1931 in Saranac Lake, New York a son of Ammedie Oliver DuBray and Hazel Moody DuBray. He married Edith Sylvia Arquitt on August 20, 1955. He was a US Army Veteran serving his country from 1951 to 1954 and was of the Catholic faith. Meddie was employed with General Electric as a Locomotive Inspector for over 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Meddie is survived by his wife, Edith DuBray of Centerville; four daughters, Sylvia LaBarre of Asheboro, NC, Cynthia Huskey and her husband James of Lexington, NC, Ann Manyen of Thomasville, NC, and Diane Hoppe of Richlands, NC; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; a sister, Marilyn Atkins of Apex, NC; and two brothers, Hugh DuBray of Syracuse, NY and David DuBray of Orlando, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Rowell; and a brother, Rodney DuBray. Services will be private. Memorial donations may be made in Meddie’s memory to Make-A-Wish, 1702 E.
