Maxine E Holmes, 95, of Franklin, passed away at 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, November 3rd at Sugar Creek Station.Born November 10, 1920 in Franklin, Maxine was the daughter of the late Harry and Kathleen Graham Sechler. She married Richard A. Holmes, of Franklin, on November 4, 1942, and he survives.Maxine was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, playing cards, traveling, and especially spending time with her family.In addition to her husband, Maxine is survived by her sons, Robert D. Holmes and his wife, Nancy, of Princeton, WV, and Gary R. Holmes of Franklin; her daughter, Ellen L. Robbins and her husband, Richard, of Greenville; her grandchildren, Laura Curl and her husband, Chad, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Erin Conley and her husband, Thomas, of Saxonburg, Jonathan Holmes and his wife, Maria, of Roanoke, VA, and James Holmes of Princeton, WV; and her two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Sarah Conley, both of Saxonburg.In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Sechler.As per Maxine's wishes, there will be no visitation.
