MaryLou O'Day, 85, of Meadville, went to be with her heavenly father surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, January 20, 2015. She came to Earth temporarily on March 26, 1929 a daughter of Ivan Heath and Lillian Cochran Heath. She married Steve O'Day on April 21, 1958; he preceded her in death in 1980. MaryLou was a 1947 graduate of Andover High School and was a homemaker. She will be known for recycling cards and resending them to others; and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother doing her best to make sure her family knew they were loved. She was very giving to others and never had a bad word to say about anyone. MaryLou enjoyed getting out of the house for the day, attending family reunions, going to the spillway to feed the seagulls, and her clock that played "Amazing Grace." She attended United Faith Fellowship Church; and lived her life loving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and she wanted everyone she came in contact with you know about the peace of Jesus so they could be with him in heaven. MaryLou is survived by a daughter, Deborah Anthony and her husband Kenny "Red" of Meadville; a son, Mark O'Day and his wife Doreen of Meadville; a step-daughter, Shirley Hodges and her husband Denny of Waterford, PA; five grandchildren, Jessica Anthony of Seattle, Washington, Sherri Anthony of Meadville, Elizabeth Shade and her husband Jason of Meadville; Crystal Anthony of Meadville, and Aidan Anthony of Meadville; and close friends, Eunice Bahurinshy, Thelma Highland, Carolyn Byrns, Candi Nichols, and Joyce Burkett. In addition to her husband, Steve; she was preceded in the death by a son, Stephen O'Day, Jr.; both of her parents; a brother, Franklin Heath; and three stepsons, Ernie, Jack, and Clarence O'Day. Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, January 29th from 4:00pm and 6:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 6:00pm with Pastor Jim Gibson of First Christian Church, officiating.
