MaryJune Wagner, 88, of Franklin passed away at 6:28 PM , at her home on Wednesday, November 05, 2014 while with her family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born March 29, 1926, in Bredinsburg, PA, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Goldie (Baker) Long. On August 12, 1972 she married Ellsworth Raymond Wagner, and he survives. MaryJune was employed as a nanny in her younger years, and as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Venango Manor until she retired. She enjoyed quilting, piano, fishing, and using the computer.In addition to her husband, MaryJune is survived by her five children, Carl E. Matthews, Jr. of Titusville, Bruno J.P. Matthews Sr. of Franklin, Paul E. Matthews, and his wife, Diane of Mohrsville, PA, Judy and her husband, Jack E. Porter, Sr. of Hamburg, PA, Florence, and her husband, Walter F. Witherup of Kennerdell. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a special niece, Nancy Merritt, and her husband, George Merritt of Franklin, her half-sister, Helen Gibson of Cooperstown; two step-daughters, Debbie Douglass and her husband, Gary of Michigan, and Cris Butcher of California; 3 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild; and 1 step-great-great-great-grandchild.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, HarrietTressie Matthews, Victoria Lynn Matthews, and Gabriel Matthews, and four sisters, Goldie Novak, Charlotte Bell, Ruth Long, Mildred Straughn, and a brother, Denzil Long, and a grandson, Samuel Dax Matthews.Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Saturday, November 8th, from 4-6 pm, and Sunday, November 9th, from 11 am - 1pm. Funeral services will be held at Gardinier Funeral Home at 1 pm following visitation, with Rev. James D. Ring officiating.   1. Aunt June was as loving and caring of me as my own mother , her sister, was. I’ll never forget being pulled screaming and crying to have her give me a home perm she thought I really “LOVED”.
