Martha Jean Carroll McKinney, 89, of Union City, passed away, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at UPMC Hamot. She was born on September 30, 1932 in Erie, Pennsylvania a daughter of Charles William Carroll and Virginia McCray Carroll. She married Glenn Alan McKinney, Jr. on November 23, 1950. He has preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Union City High School and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Union City. Martha enjoyed playing games and was very competitive, but what she loved more than anything was spending time with her family and supporting them in any way she was able. She is survived by six children, Glenn Alan McKinney III and his wife Debbie of Union City, Cheryle Wade and her husband Dennis of Corry, Susan Olmstead and her husband David of Union City, Fred McKinney of Union City, Virginia More and her husband Timothy of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, and Lynda Parkinson and her husband Charles of Elizabeth, Colorado; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; her sister, Janice Miller and her husband Cecil of Jamestown, New York; two nephews; and a niece. In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Dean McKinney; and a great grandchild, Elliot Lott. Private burial will take place at McCray Cemetery, Corry. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Martha's memory to the First Baptist Church of Union City, 16 South Street, Union City, Pennsylvania 16438.   1. My condolences to the entire extended McKinney family. Martha was always happiest when the house was loud and crazy with a bunch of kids carrying on – and there usually was! She never minded having a few more friends or tag-a-longs added to the bunch and somehow managed to keep everyone happy, fed, and out of trouble (most of the time). I have some wonderful memories of hanging out with your family.
