  2. We always admired how strong and kind Grandma Halsey was. She came out to visit us a few times to see the great-grand kids. We would inevitably start doing little house projects and she would keep us company while we worked. One time we were organizing our basement and she started carrying boxes. We scolded her and told her to just let us do it. Of course she waved us off and told us, “This ones full of pillows, I’m strong enough to carry it!” She proceeded to tell us how she still mowed her own lawn and was more than capable of helping out.
