Lucille "Tuckey" E. Snyder Lucille "Tuckey" E. Snyder, of Mercer Road, Franklin, passed away at 11:20 a.m., Sunday, June 12, at Sugar Creek Station, where she had resided for the past several months. Born August 19, 1924, in Buffalo, New York, Lucille was the daughter of the late George and Mabel Flaherty Stevens. She was married May 13, 1941 to James A. Snyder and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2004. Prior to her retirement, Lucille had been employed at Polk Center as a cook. She enjoyed playing cards, watching NASCAR, and gardening and canning. She especially enjoyed the times she spent with her family. Lucille is survived by her son, William F. Snyder of Polk; and her daughters, Linda Lusher and her husband, James, of Franklin, and Shirley Ghering and her husband, Bo, of Stoneboro. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Wendy L. Weiss and her husband, Jeffrey, of Franklin; Jeffrey Finch and his wife, Tammy, of Townville; Anna McMurdy and her husband, Bill, of Franklin; James Lusher, Jr., and his wife, Denise, of Mt. Pleasant Mills; Daniel Lusher of Franklin; William Snyder, Jr. of Kennerdell; and James A. Snyder III of Polk; and her 8 great-grandchildren. She is additionally survived by her sister, Onalee Dalaba of Franklin. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her son, James A. Snyder, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Linda Snyder; and her granddaughter, Shelly Snyder. Services for Lucille will be private at the convenience of her family. There will be no visitation. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Polk Volunteer Fire Department - 710 Main Street, Polk PA 16342.
