Louis E. Meyer Jr., 76, of Guys Mills, PA, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025. Born on January 14, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Louis E. Meyer Sr. and Anna T. Istenes Meyer. A proud Vietnam veteran, Louis served as a sniper in the U.S. Army, and his courage and dedication to his country were hallmarks of his character.

Louis was a 1966 graduate of Cochranton High School and spent many years working as a tree trimmer for Asplundh Tree Service, as well as a driver and mechanic for Hafer Trucking. He took great joy in the simple things in life, including hunting, fishing, and feeding the birds that frequented his backyard.

He was a life member of the VFW and grew up in the Catholic faith, which shaped much of his values and life philosophy. Louis is survived by his brother, Fred Meyer (Lori) of Azle, Texas; sisters Cynthia Meyer of Kentucky and Judith Creese (Robert) of Springtown, Texas; as well as nieces and nephews including James Meyer (Wendy) of Meadville, Andrea Meyer of Kentucky, Eli Bain of Kentucky, Justin Meyer (Jayce) of Glen Rose, Texas, Trevor Meyer (Sheri) of Azle, Texas, and Brandon Meyer (Makenzie) of Azle, Texas; many great-nieces and nephews; several great-great-nieces and nephews; and a cherished aunt, Marjorie Istenes of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, and uncle, Robert Istenes of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania.

Louis was preceded in death by his beloved parents, close friend, Jen, and while he will be deeply missed, his spirit will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be private, with a burial taking place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Guys Mills, Pennsylvania.
