Lori Lynn Lockhart
December 31, 1964 ~ October 13, 2023
Born in: Franklin, Pennsylvania
Our sweet angel Lori Lynn Lockhart, 58 (forever 18), passed away on October 13, 2023, with her sister by her side after courageously battling an extended illness.
She was born December 31, 1964 in Franklin to the late Robert J. and Joyce E. (Crisman) Lockhart.
She was the older sister to Leigh Anne. Lori was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. She amazed her family with her strength to live her life to the fullest despite being born with Down Syndrome.
Lori brought joy to everyone who knew her. She was a kind and gentle soul who loved Jesus. Her infectious smile and laughter could light up any room. Lori loved sunshine, butterflies and Jesus.
She enjoyed singing, coloring, painting, and dancing. She also enjoyed riding horses at VARHA and volunteering on the praise and worship team at her church. Lori loved taking trips and camping with her family and bus trips to Casinos with the Red Hat Society where she was an honorary member of her Aunts group when she was younger.
She was always looking for an orange jeep during her travels.
During the winter months, you could find her snuggled next to her dog “baby Lacie” and watching The Golden Girls, or I dream of Jeannie on repeat.
Lori is survived by her sister Leigh Anne, her chihuahua Lacie, and several cats. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins; her best friend, Jamie Ring; her special friend, Marci Peterson.
A special thank you goes out to her cousin, Jessica Soltis-Cummings for her kindness and support and Kristen Winters for capturing special moments such as the one used for her obituary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her uncles, Ronald and Kenneth Crisman, and her aunts, Lois Ann Schaeffer, Thelma Dauson, Barbara Donahue, and other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will be meeting her in heaven.
Lori will be deeply missed by all those who loved her, but we are comforted to know that she is in the arms of Jesus singing “Jesus loves me” with the angels.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA, on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with funeral services immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 pm with Rev. James D. Ring officiating.
In honor of Lori and her love of all things orange and yellow, and butterflies and horses, please feel free to wear her favorite colors and/or character to the service.
Lori will be laid to rest with her parents in Franklin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.

Lori was one of the most special people on Earth. She always had such a big smile and it was always a privilege and blessing to see it. I know how much Lori always loved the holidays and I am glad that last year when I was home we got to have lunch and share in some Halloween fun. May she Rest in Peace with her fellow Angels in Heaven.
I met this sweet angel when she was young. She was truly a beautiful child. Always had a smile and loved to blow kisses. Sincere condolences to her family. Unfortunately we will be away and not able to attend her services. Love and prayers. Jim and Clara Lackey
My fondest memory of Lori when I brought Leigh Anne home and had lunch with Leigh Anne, Lori, and their parents. I had driven my convertible, and asked Lori if she wanted to take a ride, which of course she did!
We drove around for a few minutes with the top down, radio up, and hands in the air singing and laughing! We had so much fun, I remember it like yesterday.
My heart goes out to Leigh Anne and her extended family as they deal with this huge loss. May Lori’s memory be a blessing to all that had the chance to know and love her!
My heart aches to hear this news.
My deepest sympathy to Lori’s family. She leaves behind so many wonderful memories and I hope they bring you comfort during these difficult days.
Lori was special to all of us. She will be missed.
Fly high, my little cookie baker. We’ll make cookies again someday.

My mom and Lori’s mom were best friends. Our moms had us about 2 weeks apart. I grew up with Lori. She was so sweet and lovable. She always greeted me with a big smile and a big bear hug! She will be missed by many. She is now with her parents watching over her kind loving sister who took the best care of her. God just received an innocent
loving soul into his beautiful kingdom! Love you always Lori!
