Lois J. Dunlap, 83, of Polk, passed away at 12:50 p.m. on March 29th, 2018 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born November 16, 1934, in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Sarah (Beers) Shields. Lois worked at Polk Center as a Clerk/Timekeeper for 22 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, "wintering" in Florida with her husband, Arthur, and camping at Vacation Land. She especially cherished the times she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.Lois is survived by her husband, Arthur; her son, Daniel Dunlap and his wife, Tammey, of Titusville; her daughter, Karen Monks and her husband, Howard, of Rocky Grove; her four grandchildren, Nathan Dunlap of Wexford, Korey Dunlap of Hermitage, and Jennifer Potter and her husband, Joel, and Josh Monks, all of Franklin; and her two great-grandchildren, Bethany Lynn Dunlap and Jacob Wade Potter.In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brother, James Shields; her sister, Jessie Demler; and her half-brothers, Milard Wolford, Pat Wolford, and Luther Wolford.Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Tuesday, April 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral Services for Lois will be held at the Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. following visitation with Randy Ritchey, pastor of Oak Grove Church, officiating.   8. I loved sitting on the porch visiting w Lois. She was kind and bold and opinionated. She was as classy as she was meek. Often I would say to her “I want to be just like you someday!” Lois impacted my life and left a stamp on this Earth of great value. Most sincerely, Carla Doutt
