Larry Mineweaser was a great friend and mentor for me growing up. I worked for him at Riverside Markets in the 70’s. He was always friendly and a true professional as manager of Meadville store. I chose him as my Confirmation sponsor as I knew he was a true Christian and was deeply connected to his faith.
I will miss him coming into our office selling nuts and candies for Lion’s Club.
I will miss his great attitude and smile

To Larry’s family: you have my sincere sympathy–he was the first boss I ever had when he hired me at Riverside Market in Meadville. I learned many things from him. He was the first to recognize my people skills; mostly because he showed me that he believed in me and what I could do for him (and the store). I moved to Rochester NY in 1978 but I will never forget Meadville and all the things I learned about life from my hometown. He had a profound impact on me when I was a teenager! I have no doubt he did affect the lives of many others as well!
Larry and I became aquainted in the late 60’s as compeditors in the grocery business .As compeditors, we worked together to stop bad check writthers I also was required to do price checks in his store for our competition in this business. Larry would give me his price book an allow me to sit down in there break room rather than walking the store and getting the prices from the shelves. Even though we were in competition , we became friends! Later years ,I would stop at his garage sales and we would share past memories. I will surely miss him! Being 80 ,I am right behind him, and hope to see him in Heaven!
