Guestbook

  1. I worked with La Verne for many years at Polk Center. He was the most awesome person to work with. He always had a smile and a great “hello, how are you.” I never heard him say a negative word about anyone. I definitely enjoyed working with La Verne. May the perpetual light shine upon him, may his soul rest in peace and may God grant him eternal life.

  2. My deepest sympathy to the Wentworth family. Our families have know each other for a long time. He always asked about them when he saw me.

  3. I’ll miss his smile and the person he became when he found the Lord. Bea, have no doubt you were loved by him. He was a better person having been loved by you, you were his rock . Thank you for letting me cut his hair once more and giving me a chance to say my private good-bye. He was a good man and I will miss him. He’s going to get to see his mother again and I’m sure God will welcome him with open arms.

  6. We first met Laverne when we were assigned to the Atlantic UB church in Franklin. While there, Laverne redecorated his life to the Lord. He lived the Lord and his family. He was a very loved man. Each year he would call Dave on the date that he came back to the Lord and they would celebrate that day together. Dave reached his heavenly home in 2012…..now they can celebrate eternally. He will be missed by many but oh the vision in our mind of his arrival in heaven. Continued prayers for all. 14. Dear Bea,
You have my sympathy in the “loss” of your husband. Actually, he is not “lost,” as he rests in the arms of his Saviour. LaVerne was never ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was good to the ladies in Terrace, my work site, and he was helpful to me in the Recreation activities I organized. As he was saved by grace, he was kept by grace, and you will see him again some day.

    Sincerely, Edwina C. Michel

  15. My husband and I had the privilege to work with LaVerne at Polk Center. He was a wonderful man of God, and fun to be around. He will be missed by many.
