Kevin E. Horn, 52, passed away in his home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.He was born on May 24, 1966 to Ellwood and Marian (Johnson) Horn in Pittsburgh, PA; both survive him.Kevin was a graduate of Oil City High School.After graduating school, Kevin enlisted in the United States Navy where he served during the Persian Gulf War on the U.S.S. La Salle (AGF-3). He earned the Battle "E" Sea Service Ribbon and was Honorably Discharged.In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed the simpler things in life. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, and fishing. He was also a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church. Most of all, however, Kevin cherished the time he spent with his family.In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by his fiancee, Tina VanBrussel of Franklin; his son, Keith Horn; his daughter, Alisha Horn; his step-son, David VanBrussel; his 8 grandchildren; his two sisters, Kimberly Frey and her husband, Timothy, of St. Marys, and Krista Horn of Akron, OH; his brother, Karl Horn and his wife, Jennifer, of Cooperstown; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.Kevin was preceded in death by his cousin, Michelle Campbell; his 4 uncles, Clyde Weingard, Don Irwin, Jim Campbell, and Denny Horn; and his step-son, Jerry White, Jr.Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA. Funeral services will be held following visitation on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 6 pm at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., with Reverend Lance Tucker, pastor of the Oakland UNited Methodist Church, officiating.Military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. I am so sorry for your loss of Kevin. He was a good man.
I am going to miss you Dad alot I was there when you talked to me about your health and we made a deal u fight with the cancer and I would take my meds the last thing that we both have said together was don’t give up to keep fighting because I couldn’t lose another person over cancer and thats what happened and now I am not myself now I am so numb right now all I have been doing is crying because you are the best dad that was out there yes you had your faults but I put it behind me and spent as much time with you as I can and now your gone but your in my memory and will always be
