Karen Renee Deets, 79, of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 26, 1942 in Geneva, a daughter of David A. Jones Sr. and Francis K. Drachslin Jones. She married John E. Deets on September 9, 1961, he survives.
She graduated Conneaut Valley High School in 1960 and was a member of Community of Christ in Meadville.
Karen was a member of the PTA, the Crawford County Counsel PTA, and was a past president of the Summit Township Youth Association. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, spoiling her grandchildren, attending all children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren's sporting events and activities, watching Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, Judge Judy, People's Court, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and Walker Texas Ranger. Karen also loved the family vacations to the Outer Banks and taking her grandchildren to church camp at Temple Grove in the summer.
In addition to her loving husband, John; she is survived by four daughters, Crystal R. Warren and her husband Jeff of Conneaut Lake, Tina M. Richards and her husband Robert of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Tammy L. Crowl and her husband Ron of Novelty, Ohio, and Susan Y. Moorehead and her husband Mike of Erie; three sons, John E. Deets II and his wife Tara of Willoughby, Ohio, Jason A. Deets and his wife Tracy of Novelty, Ohio, and Joel A. Deets and his wife Barbara of Westfield, New York; fourteen grandchildren, Ryan M. Warren and his wife Amy of Conneaut Lake, Curtis J. Warren and his wife Kelly of Streetsboro, Ohio, Lauren A. Winarski and her husband Matt of Uniontown, Ohio, Tyler M. Beadlescomb and his wife Amanda of Los Angeles, California, Brooke A. Hass and her husband Garrett of Jetersville, Virginia, Colton A. Crowl of Novelty, Ohio, Jacob R. Richards of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Noah C. Deets, of Bowling Green, Ohio, Lucas T. Richards of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Dakota R. Deets of Novelty, Ohio, Taylor M. Deets of Novelty, Ohio, Allison B. Deets of Novelty, Ohio, Ethan S. Christopher of Willoughby, Ohio, and Mollie Rose Christopher of Willoughby, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren, Lyla J. Warren, Ryan M. Warren, Jr., Lillian R. Warren, Peyton J. Warren, Charlie G. Winarski, Emerson M. Warren, Blakely E. Winarski, and Amber L. Hass; a sister, Sharlene D. Irwin and her husband James of Winter Springs, Florida; a brother-in-law, William F. Deets and his wife Kathy of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Judy Deets of Cochranton; and many close nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother David A. Jones, Jr.; an infant brother Ronald A. Jones; a granddaughter, Ashly Correa; and nephew David A. Jones III.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, December 19th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 20th at 11:00am at the funeral home with Elder John Spilsbury of Community of Christ, officiating.
Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Karen's memory to Temple Grove Campground, 347 Hamburg Road, Transfer, Pennsylvania 16154.
