Joyce Ellen Clarkson Faulkner Dillemuth

Joyce “Mumma” Dillemuth, aged 93, of Franklin PA passed on March 14, 2026 of natural causes. She was surrounded by family, the Caring Place nursing staff, and the VNA Hospice.

Born June 16th, 1932 on Long Island, she married George Faulkner of Delhi, NY in 1952. The next 54 years they lived in multiple countries, including Germany, and dozens of states. They had 4 children: George Jr., Linda, Robert, and Heather.

On top of being a mother, Joyce had many jobs, with employers ranging from local bakeries to major companies like RCA and IBM. She worked at Polk State School and Hospital from 1976 until her retirement in 2000. She continued to move around the world and boasted about living in 80 homes during her life. Her hobbies included knitting, quilting, cooking, and traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laura (Dawson) Clarkson; both husbands George Faulkner, and Herb Dillemuth; her daughter Linda; and her grandson Joshua.

She is survived by her 2 younger sisters Fern and Jane, her 3 remaining children and their spouses, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, multiple nieces, one in particular Laura Gelther, nephews, and special friends.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Joyce and Stephanie of the VNA

Hospice and the nursing staff of The Caring Place for the care they gave Mumma.

No public services will be observed and arrangements are in the care of Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin, PA 16323.

The graveside services will be for family only and a memorial dinner will be held at a later date.

Joyce’s ashes will be interred at the Franklin Cemetery.
