Jimmie Williams, 75, of Franklin passed away on May 5, 2025 at the Collins House.
Born on September 5, 1949 in Birmingham, AL he was the son of the late Howard and Leona (Rainey) Williams.
Jimmie worked on the railroad in his younger years and then was a mechanic for various auto repair places.
He was very fond of Blues music and could be found listening to it with family and friends. He liked to do yard work and enjoyed the tranquility of fishing. He was well known for always having an energy drink in one hand and a cigar in the other.
Jimmie was such a caring, loving, friendly person that he made so many friends that looked out for him all the time. But, it was his family and helping others that he cherished the most. He was there for anyone that needed his help and always had a friendly smile for everyone.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother John Williams and his wife, Mary, of Pocatello, ID; his sister Mary Alice Williams Rouse of Cleveland, OH; his nieces that was more of a father to them, Precious, Rae-Ann, and Rhonda Lockhart; his other special nieces and nephew Jason Covington and his wife, Lisa, Pudgy Tate and Shavone Simmons and her husband, Billy; ; and his special friend, Cathy Harayda.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Howard, Allen, and Otis Williams, Carrie Mae White; his twin brother, Robert Williams; and Willie Mae Lockhart who was more like an adopted mother to him.
In following with Jimmie’s wishes, no public services will be observed at this time and arrangements are under the care of the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323.
