Prayers for you 🙏
Jeremy Wade Melnick, 47, of Union City passed away on December 30, 2025 at AHN St. Vincent with his family at his side.
Born on August 30, 1978 in Union City he was the son of Jerol Melnick (Althea) and Cathy Barton.
On August 20, 2015 he married the love of his life, Autumn Melnick.
Jeremy was an avid hunter and spent as much time as possible outside going after that trophy buck and spring turkey. He loved teaching his children about hunting and taking them with him since it was an instilled generational family value. His love of nature didn’t end at the door as he was known to bring it indoors to admire and share with his family.
He also enjoyed playing video games. He was passionate about woodworking and building projects. A contractor by trade, he used his skills to constantly remodel his house. He was the type of person who liked to meet new people and those he met, he considered a friend. His artistic side enjoyed all types of music from Metallica to the Beetles, enjoyed art and movies and would take his family to festivals. He was a big history buff as well.
Most of all, his children were his world and he would do whatever he could to teach them, spend time with them and just make sure they lived a good life.
Left to cherish his memory along with his wife Autumn and his parents are his children Alex, Caleb, Isabella, Michael, Wilhelmina, and Summer; his brothers Jerol and Jed (Jill); his brother-in-law Andrew Kosinski (Brenda); and his cousin that was like a brother to him, Jason.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret Barton, Michael Melnick, Mary Melnick; uncles Joe and Marshall Melnick and Bill Barton; and a nephew Bryce Melnick.
